About Tucker-Kirby
Tucker-Kirby Co. was founded in 1920 by Mr. W.F. Tucker, Sr. and Mr. Robin S. Kirby, Sr. The original company was chartered as Tucker-Kirby Hardware Co. The company soon branched into building products and the charter was changed to drop the word "hardware".
In 1930, Tucker-Kirby Co. organized Interstate Roofing and Asphalt Co. under the direction of Mr. W.F. Tucker, Jr. The company remained a subsidiary of Tucker-Kirby Co. until the early 1960's, when the two companies became separate corporations. Combined, Tucker-Kirby Co. and Interstate Roofing have served the Charlotte area for over 160 years. With warehouses in Charlotte and Raleigh/Apex, NC and Columbia, SC we continue to expand our product lines, product knowledge and superior service. During the past 90 plus years we have certainly earned our motto, "The Home of T-K Service."
